Assistant Butler

For an International Organization in Brussels, we are looking for a full-time Assistant Butler. You will be working for a family of expats and will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
**Service (food and beverage)**:

- Serves private as well as official event meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, receptions);
- Sets and dresses tables; upon occasion making flower arrangements;
- Assists serving beverages at receptions, teas, etc.

**Maintenance (Residence and premises)**:

- Assists the team with daily housekeeping duties and cleaning of official rooms of the Residence;
- When necessary, assists the Maid/laundress cleaning and maintaining the private rooms and guest rooms of the Residence;
- Helps with ironing when necessary, such as sheets;
- Takes laundered clothing items and linens from the laundry room to the appropriate bedroom or dressing room;
- Regularly check the outside of the house (terrace, garden, flower vases, lights, etc.)

**Other**:

- Assists in answering the door, welcoming guests, taking coats, jackets, umbrellas;
- Consults daily with the Residence Manager, reporting on possible maintenance and repair needs in the residence;
- On any given occasion, may have to assist working events in other Official Residences or at the Embassy;
- Must be pet friendly individual;
- Performs other duties as assigned;
**Who we are looking for**:
**Experience**:Minimum 3 year experience in a similar environment or in a customer services oriented position preferably in a hotel or restaurant.

**Language**: Good working knowledge of English, plus basic Dutch or French.

**Abilities and Skills**: It is important to be tactful, discrete and have good diplomacy and interpersonal skills.

**Must be able to legally reside and work in Belgium

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent contract

**Salary**: From €1,928.00 per month

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- 13th month salary
