GANTRADE EUROPE is growing its business and created a new role for a Sustainability Manager.

**Jobomschrijving**:
**As Gantrade's Sustainability Manager within the Regulatory & Compliance team, you will lead the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to promote environmental awareness.**
- You will develop and implement Gantrade's sustainability strategy. You will set clear goals and targets to minimize environmental impact.
- You will act as the SPOC for Gantrade’s suppliers and customers on sustainability/ESG matters.
- You monitor and understand potential changes/ requirements from customers regarding sustainability practices (Environmental, Social & Governance) and proactively respond to their needs.
- You assure detailed information regarding sustainability of products, including their environmental impact and compliance with the relevant legislation.
- You support Gantrade’s specific sustainability and/or environmental management activities such as ISO 14001, ECOVADIS, ISCC+,driving suppliers & customer’s acceptance.
- You analyse the carbon footprint associated with the entire supply chain and identify opportunities for reducing emissions and improving sustainability.
- You collaborate closely with Gantrade’s Business Unit Managers and support them in their commercial activities by assuring the necessary sustainability principles are in place.
- You ensure proper registration and management of all product-related data, including safety information and regulatory documentation.
- You report directly to the Compliance & Regulatory Manager.

**Profiel**:

- You obtained a Master’s Degree within Chemistry, Science, or Environmental Management.
- You gained an extensive Sustainability Management experience (min. 5 - 10 years) within the Chemical
- or Petrochemical Industry.
- You possess strong communication skills and are aware of the importance of excellent stakeholder management, both in
- and externally.
- You have experience in LCA development, PEF assessments, sustainability regulations & standards, and GHG emission calculations and analyses.
- You are able to work autonomously and maintain a strong helicopter view whilst simultaneously managing multiple projects.
- You are highly organized and accurate.
- You have a can-do mentality with excellent problem solving skills and an analytical mindset.
- You are fluent in English. Speaking Dutch, French and/or German is considered an asset.
- You will be working from the office in Mechelen, combined with a hybrid homeworking policy.
