**ROLE**:Senior Scientist Chemistry**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Designing new molecules that address previously identified weak points.
- Oversee CRO activity and integrate input from expert consultant to advance the medicinal chemistry projects.
- Develop and optimize synthetic routes to improve the quality, efficiency, and scalability of compound synthesis.
- Develop and maintain scientific expertise in the field of medicinal chemistry.
- Manage, motivate and empower a small team of scientists.
- Being able to support lab activities when necessary.

**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**
- PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant chemical science, with at least 6 years of experience in biotech or pharma industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in medicinal chemistry and strong knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry principles.
- Experience in the design and synthesis of small molecules for drug discovery, with a track record of advancing projects to preclinical development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex scientific data to diverse audiences.
- Experience in managing a medicinal chemistry lab is a plus.
