- Job Description
- For the manufacturing plant in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, Zoetis is looking for an
- _Operational Excellence Coordinator_ experienced with Lean Six-Sigma methodology.
- The
- _Operational Excellence_
- Coordinator_ will report directly to site Operational Excellence Director to support the Lean transformation in different departments of the plant, through an effective execution of the OpEx improvement strategy and ZPS (Zoetis Production System).
- In the role of
- _Operational Excellence Coordinator, _you would be part of the team driving the Operational Excellence culture/thinking throughout the site. As an ambassador of Lean-Six Sigma methodology you will support and embed a culture and mindset of operational excellence across the site, support and train your colleagues and help them understand and implement these methodologies.
- Key accountabilities/responsibilities for this role include:

- Supporting local teams to achieve their strategic objectives defined in the Hoshin Kanri matrix of the site
- Execute Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives included in the OpEx Roadmap to deliver expected cost savings, reduce lead time, fight process variation, working closely with other teams.
- Identify, assess, prioritize new improvement opportunities for our processes
- Identify, collect and contribute to best practice examples and ensure knowledge sharing within departments of the site
- Act as champion for problem solving sessions during the investigation for deviations or incidents using common tools for LSS (A3, 5-Whys, Ichikawa, etc.), facilitating workshops and leading Kaizen events
- Support the implementation of Standard Work to reduce variation of critical manufacturing processes
- Contribute to the creation of continuous flow (map Value-Added vs Non Value-Added activities, deliver VSM, analyze OEE, Takt time)
- Train and coach colleagues in Lean thinking and Continuous Improvement methodologies, creating capabilities for a high performing organization.
- Prepare, contribute to, improve and deliver site training material and SOPs for OpEx.
- Maintain records regarding associate training and certifications
- Desired Skills and Experience:

- Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Black Belt certification is a plus
- Must have a minimum of 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar position in a Lean Manufacturing company
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operational or Business Management
- Foundations of Project Management (CAPM, PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus)
- Excellent data interpretation and analytical skills; high proficiency in Excel and a knowledge of Minitab are also required for this role.
- Customer oriented, data driven
- You need to be able to work across multiple teams and disciplines and be a dedicated team player.
- Demonstrated problem solving, interpersonal skills, facilitation skills, change management skills.
- Willing to challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive effective solutions
- Willing to receive and provide feedback, to learn, to share the knowledge
- Experience in the Life Sciences Industry is an asset
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
