GEOxyz is an independent company specialized in hydrographic, geophysical & geotechnical and topographical surveys, site investigations, off shore renewable energy support and crew transfers. **In search of a marine superintendent**:

- As a Marine Superintendent, you will play a crucial role at the intersection of vessel operations, project operations, and Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE). You will serve as the link between various stakeholders, including marine crew, company management, QHSE department, and the Project Management Office.**Main responsibilities**:
- Ensure the safe operation of each vessel in compliance with the vessel Safety Management System (SMS) and the company-integrated management system (ISO 9001-14001-45001).-
- Ensure compliance of the vessel and its crew (marine and project) with project-specific HSE requirements.-
- Ensure compliance of vessels with Flag State Administration, Classification Society, and Local Regulations.-
- Develop, maintain, and distribute the SMS Manual, providing valuable input for improvement in the company's integrated management system.-
- Conduct and oversee internal and external audits in a timely manner.-
- Develop office emergency response plans and conduct annual office-ship emergency response drills.-
- Identify, manage, and monitor risks, considering recommended safe practices by international bodies.-
- Collaborate with the Crewing and Logistics Department to ensure efficient and timely vessel manning.-
- Ensure performance reviews, training, and development align with company standards.-
- Lead by example in implementing all HSSE programs.-
- Undertake and review relevant risk assessments.-
- Report and investigate accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions.-
- Act as the Appointed Company Security Officer.**What do we expect from you?**:
- Successful completion of studies in the nautical sector, with a minimum Certificate of Competency (C/O).-
- Minimum of 5 years of practical nautical experience, preferably in the offshore sector.-
- Management experience is a plus.-
- HSSE qualifications (ISM/ISPS/MLC auditor training) are desirable.-
- Thorough knowledge of mandatory offshore industry and maritime rules, regulations, guidelines, and standards.-
- Strong understanding of technical and operational aspects of safety management and shipboard operations.-
- Effective communication skills, persistence, friendliness, and confidence.-
