Shift Lead

YOUR FUTURE JOB
- As a Shift Lead at Melexis, you manage the night shift in our Final Test, Backend, and Probing department in order to process the right products based on customer requirements in accordance with the company’s targets for customer orientation, quality, productivity and efficiency.
- More specifically, you will:

- Be the end-responsible for a team of approximately 30 people (20 operators and 10 technicians): recruitment and onboarding, coaching and monitoring, regular follow-up sessions and yearly evaluations, training organisation, resources planning etc.
- Coordinate manufacturing processes in order to ensure that the goods leave the manufacturing area according to the defined flow and methods, required volume outputs, quality specifications and correct administration.
- Take ownership of any process deviation in order to initiate early corrective action and minimise manufacturing impact.
- Planning, organising, and monitoring activities to optimise capacity utilisation.
- Actively work with the team to enhance the 5S standard and reach the local KPIs.
- Communicate and cooperate with other shifts and departments in order to ensure integration of information and practices into their mutual activities.
- Maintain close relationships with the Operator Lead and the Production Manager.

YOUR PROFILE
- Production related education is an advantage.
- Essential experience in successfully coaching and leading production teams.
- Interest in working with manufacturing setups and equipment.Demonstrated customer and team-oriented approach.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- Independent English user and good knowledge of Dutch is required.
- Willingness to work in the night shift (9pm - 5am, starting on Sunday night) and to be flexible for some extra meetings during the dayshift (e.g. monthly production meetings).
