**YOUR contribution**:
**Context**
In order to stay at the forefront of the ever-changing energy markets, which are more than ever driven by the energy transition to a carbon-free environment, new products and tools, to conduct business development activities and to develop a solid market knowledge.
The VIE will support us in the development of these new products and tools but also assist the originators in their daily tasks (daily PnL reports, pricing, etc.)
**Role**
Your assignment will be divided into two parts:
**Quantitative part**:
- You will assist originators in pricing exotic energy products (clean spark/dark spread options, Asian options.
Asian options, virtual pump and battery energy storage systems, renewable energy risk hedging products, etc.
Renewable energy risk hedging products, etc.) and to improve current pricing methods
- You will provide support to quants and traders by conducting ad-hoc studies (correlation, volatilities,
backtesting strategies, etc.)
- You will develop process optimization and automation tools
**Business part**:
- You will perform prospecting and follow up on client interests (maintain Customer Relationship Manager
Manager up to date, daily PnL reporting, etc)
- You will build a market watch (follow CWE electricity market developments, market players,
etc.)
- Your interaction network will be mainly composed of quants, traders, analysts, back-office, middle-office,
risk and credit departments
**About YOU**:
**Hard skills**
- You have a good knowledge of financial products (swaps, forwards, options, etc.) and options pricing is an
must-have
(knowledge of VBA and SQL is a plus)
- Experience in electricity markets and modeling/structuring of electricity assets is an advantage
**Soft skills**
- You are autonomous
- You are a good team player
- You have excellent social skills
- You are able to work in a stressful and demanding environment
**Education and professional background**
- You have a higher education, preferably a master in a quantitative field (finance, engineering,
mathematics,...)
- or, an appropriate experience of the market
**Languages**
- You speak and write English perfectly and you master French
