**Project description**
The University of Antwerp has an open position for a postdoctoral researcher situated within a VLAIO-Moonshot project entitled "Clusters for CO2 electrolyzers to ethylene - CLUE". This research project** aims in the development of an efficient electrolyzer for durable electrochemical conversion of CO**2** to ethylene using realistic and industrially-relevant CO**2** streams and highly stable and efficient electrodes based on mono
- and bimetallic deposited clusters. **Obtaining insights on the structural, morphological and compositional properties of the cluster arrays as prepared and under electrocatalytic reaction conditions is of great importance to the project, something which will be achieved by **using novel ex
- and in-situ TEM methods. **The team at UAntwerp will closely collaborate with the other partners of the consortium to evaluate and complement the developed TEM techniques. The TEM experiments will be performed at the EMAT laboratory of the University of Antwerp, using state-of-the-art techniques.

**Position**
- You publish scientific articles related to the research project;
- You will use a liquid/biasing and a gas/heating TEM holders to track surface and composition changes of (bi)metallic clusters at the nanoscale under reactive environments;
- You present your work at national and international workshops and conferences;
- You will be employed at the University of Antwerp and closely interact with the partners of the consortium;
**Profile**
- You hold a PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry or equivalent;
- You can submit outstanding academic results;
- Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and university research policies;
- You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative, cooperative and able to work efficiently within a team;
- You have already experience with the use of advanced TEM techniques and in-situ gas and liquid holders;
- You have excellent knowledge of the English language, in both oral and written communication;
