The Sr. IT Systems Administrator Logistics and Distribution is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of IT systems including all Infrastructure
- and Applications components used in the Gates Europe Distribution Centers located in Belgium, Poland and UK.
You will be able to rely on other people locally and will have one associate in Turkey.
**RESPONSIBILITIES***:
- Administration: Supporting Gates IT Global Procurement teams with local vendors negotiations and partnerships. Supervising audits.
- Project Management: participating to global programs and acting as Project Manager to drive business processes and systems standardization and enhancements across facilities and regions
- Implementing corporate systems security measures and policies to protect data, soft
- and hardware assets
- Managing work incidents, service and change tickets as assigned by IT Service Desk and IT Infrastructure Service Management.
- Performing immediate troubleshooting as the situation dictates for any systems operated in the facility.
Others:
- Performs any other duties as assigned by direct manager.
**ABOUT YOU**
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or other technical disciplines with 5 to 10 years' experience working as System Administrator ideally in Warehousing, Logistics and Distribution sector
- Ability to manage multiple IT systems as used in warehouse-, distribution and office facilities, protecting productivity, mitigating threats, and identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs.
- Strong knowledge of WMS (ideally Dispatcher) required
- Good at collaborating with business specialists, designers, and developers around the globe to envision and iterate concepts.
- Ability to challenge current status and to bring a vision and roadmap for the future
- Ability to travel domestically up to 30% of work time.
- Fluency in both English and Polish is mandatory
Other information:
- The work generally consists of operating IT equipment and systems by use of computers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- This position is an on-call position and will require work outside of normal business hours. Weekend work will be required on an occasional basis to match available maintenance windows for IT system maintenance.
