**DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS AND THE SCOPE OF COMPETITION**
The following tasks will be performed:
- Maintenance of the common data set (CDS) and data subsets, which includes:
- Identifying the data elements that correspond to information requirements in EU and national legislation. This task also includes liaising with the Member States’ experts to explain the link between the legal requirements and data elements in the CDS and data subsets, and based on the Member States' feedback adopt changes in the CDS and subsets.
- Harmonizing the eFTI common data set taking into consideration:
- the information requirements in the scope of the eFTI regulation;
- other legal requirements that the economic operators have to comply with;
- alignment of the data elements and their technical characteristics (structure, definitions, formats, code lists, business rules) with international reference standards and data models, and;
- other common business information exchange practices in freight logistics.
- Message exchange specifications
- Overseeing the establishment of XML and JSON data representations
- Overseeing the establishment of messages to query information from the databases.
**LEVEL OF EDUCATION**
- Bachelor's degree of 3 years.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
The following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above-listed tasks:
- Very good experience in data modelling and database design techniques and tools (e.g. SQL Developer Data Modeler, Hackolade, NoSQL Workbench)
- Very good experience in development tools (e.g. Oracle SQL Developer)
- Very good experience in relational database systems (e.g. Oracle)
- Very good knowledge of NoSQL database systems (e.g. Dynamo DB, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Very good experience with SQL
- Very good experience in PL/SQL
- Very good experience with XML and JSON data
- The capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team
- Ability to make presentations to Member State Authorities, excellent communicator
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, on multiple large projects
- Excellent Team Player
- The ability to understand, speak, and write English C1
- French at level B1 or higher will be an advantage;
**SPECIFIC EXPERTISE**
The following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
- at least 5 years of experience in Data Modelling (min. competence level 5)
- at least 5 years of experience in Data Design (min. competence level 4)
- at least 5 years of experience in Database implementation (min. competence level 4)
- at least 7 years of experience in the Development, maintenance, and integration of database components (min. competence level 4)
- at least 5 years of experience in Implementation of user requirements (min. competence level 3)
- at least 5 years of experience in Prototyping (min. competence level 3)
- at least 5 years of experience in Elaboration of Tests (min. competence level 3)
- at least 5 years of experience in Writing of Technical documentation (min. competence level 3)
- at least 5years of experience in Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system (min. competence level 3)
- at least 5 years of experience in Troubleshooting and optimization (min. competence level 3)
