**Jouw opdracht**:
Binnen het Public Affairs Team van het functiedomein Onderzoek sta je samen met een collega beleidsadviseur in voor de opvolging van het Europees onderzoeks
- en innovatiebeleid, met in het bijzonder aandacht voor de Vlaamse en federale context:

- Je treedt op als vertegenwoordiger van de Universiteit Gent richting de Europese Instellingen;
- Je onderhoudt contacten met relevante Vlaamse stakeholders m.b.t. generieke beleidsontwikkelingen in het kader van Europese onderzoeks
- en innovatiefinanciering;
- Je helpt het netwerk en de zichtbaarheid van de Universiteit Gent aan de Europese instellingen verder uit te bouwen en te onderhouden;
- Je geeft input aan externe stakeholders, beantwoordt Europese Commissie raadplegingen en bereidt standpunten voor;
- Je analyseert de generieke Europese beleidsontwikkelingen op het vlak van onderzoek en innovatie en staat in voor de interne communicatie ervan;
- Je werkt mee aan het verlenen van advies ten behoeve van de Raad van Bestuur, de Onderzoeksraad, de faculteiten en de vakgroepen met betrekking tot het Europees onderzoeks
- en innovatiebeleid;
- Je ontwikkelt verbeterings
- en vernieuwingsvoorstellen ten aanzien van de Europees gerichte aanpak van de Universiteit Gent op het vlak van Europees onderzoeks
- en innovatiebeleid, met aandacht voor de Vlaamse en federale context.

**Jouw profiel**:
**Kennis en ervaring**:

- Je hebt een uitstekende kennis van het Nederlands en het Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk, en kennis van een derde Europese taal is een pluspunt;
- Je hebt een eerste werkervaring in een beleidsomgeving, idealiter met het opvolgen van het Europees Onderzoeks
- en Innovatiebeleid en daaraan gelinkte programma’s (bv. Horizon Europe, EFRO/Interreg,), of je hebt een relevante stage gevolgd in een Europese instelling (Europese Commissie, Europees Parlement, Permanente Vertegenwoordiging), in een ministerie/departement op dossiers rond onderzoeks
- en innovatiedossiers, of in een Europese netwerk
- of lobbyorganisatie;
- Je hebt ervaring met het opzetten en uitwerken van netwerken;
- Je hebt ervaring met het adviseren van beleidsmakers;
- Je bent vertrouwd met de courante MS Office toepassingen (zoals mailbox, tekstverwerking, rekenblad en presentaties,) en hebt tevens aantoonbare affiniteit met organisatiespecifieke software.
