**Job purpose**: Responsible for the operational management of Environmental Monitoring
**Key responsibilities**:
- You lead a team of EM monitors and oversee and coach employees regarding monitoring technique and practices to improve operation and control: air, PW, WFI, pure steam and gases.
- You evaluate capacities (employees and machines) necessary to the completion of the monitoring plan and ensure that the facility, equipment, and staff are appropriately designed and trained to ensure the activities.
- You are responsible for improving and optimizing environmental monitoring related to the manufacturing of clinical batches within M&CS: benchmarking best practices and maintaining programs up to date according to the regulations.
- You act as a SME and provide technical guidance for all questions and issues related to environmental monitoring. Maintain and improve SOPs for each of these programs.
- You interface directly with domestic and foreign regulatory inspectors regarding microbiological and sterility assurance topics.
- You manage deviations (as deviation manager), CAPAs, change controls and SOP creation.
- You perform all job responsibilities in compliance with applicable EHS and GMP regulations, guidelines, policies, GSK standard operating & safety procedures.

**Basic Qualifications**:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Master and/or Engineering degree in Biology & Chemistry, or equivalent technical discipline.
- At least 2 to 4 years’ experience in production or quality in pharma and/or biotech industry.
- Knowledge in biological processes and biopharmaceuticals technologies.
- Champion change and innovation, drive execution and results, motivate others and foster collaboration at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with driving organization objectives and results; work in a fluid environment; drive culture & lead department initiatives.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills. The ability to function and influence within team-based organization.
- Good level of written and spoken French and English.
