Regional CFO Continental Europe

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Regional CFO Continental Europe to join our finance team and oversee the financial operations for Continental Europe. In this role, you will report to Boortmalt’s Group CFO. You will be responsible for the financial management of the Belgian, Dutch, Spanish, German, French, Croatian, and Hungarian legal entities of the Continental Europe Business Unit and for Granit Negoce and Boortmalt International.
As the Regional CFO Continental Europe, you will manage the Continental Europe finance teams and support local finance managers as required. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic financial leader to make a significant impact on our organization.
Your main responsibilities are:
1. Ensure timely monthly accounts closing and reporting to group deadlines.
2. Maintain clean financial statements and audits.
3. Oversee Corporate Income Tax returns and other fiscal filings in liaison with external tax consultants.
4. Ensure budgeting, forecasting, corporate financial reporting, financial analysis, and business plans are produced in a timely manner and are fit for purpose.
5. Consolidate management accounts for Continental Europe.
6. Manage the intercompany management fees and recharge process.
7. Prepare monthly cash flow and working capital forecasts.
8. Monitor business performance and collaborate with the Business Unit’s regional leadership team to develop corrective actions if needed, particularly regarding commercial margins and site performance.
9. Conduct ad hoc financial analyses.
10. Contribute to Group financial process improvement and maintain controls integrity.
11. Critically evaluate Capex proposals, monitor spending, and authorize as appropriate.
12. Maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks, government agencies, etc.
13. Manage the Continental Europe finance teams, ensuring training and development needs are met.
14. Support local finance managers as required.
What we are looking for:
You have a proven track record (+15 years) in finance.
You excelled in a senior financial role within a leading multinational FMCG company.
You are a qualified accountant with a master’s degree in Finance or equivalent by experience.
You have profound knowledge of MS Office.
You speak fluent English, French, and Dutch. Any other language is considered a plus.
Your affinity with SAP/JD Edwards is considered a plus.
You are accurate and can work under pressure of deadlines.
You are able to work with confidential data.
You are used to working with different GAAPs.
