For an international Special Chemicals & Minerals Producer with activities in Belgium (Mons), is urgently looking for a self-employed Interim Plant Director for their site near Mons for a period of 6 to 8 months. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. The Interim Plant Director's key responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the site's operational strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, ensuring efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. Seveso Compliance & Safety: Guarantee strict adherence to Seveso regulations, process safety management, and environmental policies to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Operational Excellence: Optimise production processes, resources, and workforce efficiency to meet productivity, quality, and cost targets. People Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of 5 direct reports and 83 employees, fostering a strong safety culture and high-performance mindset. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key liaison with regulatory authorities, corporate leadership, unions, and local community representatives. Financial Oversight: Manage the site's P&L, budgets, and cost control measures to ensure financial sustainability and profitability. The key qualifications required for this interim management job: The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Site Director, experience managing a Seveso site is must.
