We're working with a Ghent-based FinTech start-up, pushing the boundaries of financial technology and delivering solutions that redefine how financial services are offered.

As a Python Developer, you will be at the heart of the company's technical development. You'll work on building and maintaining robust, scalable applications that power the company's core FinTech products. While your primary focus will be on Python, any experience with JavaScript or TypeScript —particularly React—will be a huge plus, allowing you to contribute to both back-end and front-end development.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain back-end applications using Python
Collaborate with the team to design and implement scalable software solutions
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment
Work closely with front-end developers and, where applicable, contribute to front-end code using JavaScript (React)
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of applications
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the platform
Qualifications
Strong experience with Python and related frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django)
Familiarity with web technologies and RESTful APIs
Experience with JavaScript (particularly React) is a significant advantage
Solid understanding of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment with a focus on problem-solving and innovation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus)
