EMULSION POLYMER SCIENTIST

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Design and develop water based acrylic emulsion polymers for coatings, sealants and adhesives in collaboration with experienced emulsion polymer chemists.

- Execute lab experiments for the development of new emulsion polymers.

- Detailed written reporting of lab experiments.

- Give support to product and manufacturing problems.

- Formulation of next generation emulsion polymers.

- Collaborate with R&D teams globally.

- Report to the Senior Emulsion Polymer Scientist.

Education & experience:

- Master's degree in polymer chemistry.

- Minimum 5 years of experience within emulsion polymer synthesis.

Skills:

- Experience in emulsion polymer synthesis.

- Structure-property understanding for a variety of coatings, sealants, and adhesives.

- Innovation and creative problem-solving skills.

- Collaboration within the R&D team.

- Proficiency with analytical and mechanical characterization of emulsion polymers.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Fluency in English.

Location:

- Working place is in Houthalen, Belgium. Candidates willing to relocate to Houthalen are very welcome, also from India or China.
