Brussel, Belgique Carbon-Free Europe Temps plein

Who we are:

Carbon-Free Europe is a transatlantic climate initiative galvanising support for an ambitious decarbonisation agenda that includes every carbon-free technology, including renewables, carbon capture and storage, and nuclear energy. CFE emerged from Third Way’s Climate and Energy programme in the US, where it has a long history of championing clean energy policy to ensure a clean, reliable, secure, and affordable energy system. In Europe, CFE aims to ensure credible decarbonisation trajectories for the EU and Member States to reach net-zero by 2050, in part by helping shape an industrial strategy that ensures EU competitiveness in clean energy manufacturing and expands opportunity for transatlantic cooperation.

Opportunity

The Deputy Director will work closely with Carbon-Free Europe’s EU Director to assess opportunities for CFE to conduct research and advocacy to support technology-inclusive policy at EU and Member State levels. They will follow EU policy developments, develop recommendations for technology-inclusive clean energy policy, write compelling products, and engage with the EU Parliament, Commission, Council, and Member States. They will also represent CFE on a regular basis with key stakeholders, including engaging with the media and expanding our collaboration with likeminded NGOs, academics, and experts. As we grow CFE’s activities and team based in Brussels, we aim for the Deputy Director to step into further leadership roles.

- Respectful: People who embrace the diverse perspectives of everyone and foster the values of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness at all times.
