The Opportunity
NORRIQ FS is seeking a Senior/Medior Data Scientist to drive our data analytics and machine learning initiatives while delivering innovative solutions to our financial services clients.
Roles & Responsibilities
Client-Facing Responsibilities:
- Design and implement machine learning solutions for complex business problems
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and create insightful visualizations
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for model deployment
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions
- Provide technical guidance on data science best practices
Technical Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ML models using scikit-learn and other Python libraries
- Implement version control for both code and data using GitLab and DVC
- Create and maintain Jupyter notebooks for analysis and documentation
- Ensure reproducibility of data science workflows
- Optimize existing models and data pipelines for improved performance
- Follow ML ops best practices for model deployment and monitoring
Internal Contributions:
- Contribute to NORRIQ's data science expertise through knowledge sharing
- Participate in proposal writing and solution architecture
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
- Stay current with latest developments in data science and ML
Your Profile:
Experience : 2-6 years in the following areas:
- Professional experience as a data scientist or ML engineer
- Proven track record of implementing ML solutions in production
- Experience with financial services industry preferred
- Strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning
Technical Skills:
- Expert in Python programming and data science libraries
- Proficiency with scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy
- Experience with version control (GitLab) and DVC
- Strong knowledge of Jupyter Lab and notebook-based development
- Understanding of ML ops and deployment practices
- Experience with SQL and data manipulation
- Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- Languages: Fluency in English, and Dutch or French, with at least passive knowledge of the other
