afarax is looking for a freelance Databricks Data Engineer to join their team in the utilities sector.
The project involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines on the Databricks platform.
Responsibilities include managing data ingestion processes from various sources into the Databricks environment, implementing and optimizing ETL processes to ensure efficient data transformation and integration, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines, monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline performance, and documenting data pipeline processes and technical specifications.
Required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, minimum 3 years of experience in SQL and data warehousing, and minimum 2 years of experience with Databricks.
Additionally, strong skills in SQL and other relevant programming languages like Python are required, as well as proven expertise in Databricks and AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda.
