Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented trilingual Accountant to join our finance team in Brussels. As an experienced accounting professional, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and providing essential support to senior management in financial decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assisting with the preparation of tax filings, VAT returns, and other regulatory reporting
- Monitoring and reconciling bank statements and financial discrepancies
- Providing financial analysis and support for budgeting and forecasting activities
Our ideal candidate has proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role, preferably within a corporate, legal, or professional services environment. You should have strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, as well as experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are also essential. Knowledge of Belgian tax laws and financial regulations is a plus.
