About the Role
- This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced senior funds lawyer to join our growing team in Brussels or Paris.
Main Responsibilities:
- Servicing Euroclear FundsPlace Strategy: Support the development of services within the Euroclear FundsPlace strategy, from conceptualization to continuous evolution.
- Legal Advice and Support: Provide comprehensive advice on applicable laws and regulations, covering topics such as asset protection, securities laws, investment funds, and capital market regulations.
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft and negotiate contracts with counterparts and clients, including order processing or custody agreements and (fund) distribution or placement agreements.
- General Legal Support: Offer general legal support on a variety of matters and projects, such as client onboarding, claims handling, escalations, incidents, and foreign law.
- Collaboration and Training: Collaborate closely with other lawyers within the Legal Division, as well as with business clients, risk colleagues, and other internal business teams. Develop and deliver training and guidance on legal matters to Euroclear staff.
