Key Responsibilities:- The Senior Logistic Officer will be responsible for arranging and scheduling transportation of equipment while optimizing service and cost for goods/merchandise.
- They will oversee and coordinate the movement of goods or equipment, including pre-delivery checks and keeping clients informed of progress.
- The role involves preparing complex export documentation, ensuring equipment has been duly checked on quality and conformity prior to shipping.
- The successful candidate will solve import/export issues in close cooperation with customers and sales teams.
- They will define the most cost-effective transport type and negotiate arrangements with carriers to ensure timely shipping to customers.
- Additionally, they will assess duty and tariffs amounts for shipments and ensure that logistics activities comply with applicable legislation and regulations.
- A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent by experience is required.
- The successful candidate should have previous experience in handling international shipments.
- Ability to work in ERP systems and Microsoft-based programs, mainly Outlook and Excel, is essential.
- Fluency in Dutch or French with strong command of English is necessary.
- The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Incoterms, credit letters, and transport documentation.
- Organized with good time management and multi-tasking skills are essential.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to deal with complexity are required.
- Deadline-oriented and able to work under pressure, the successful candidate should be a team player and cost-conscious.
