Job Description:

The Junior Accountant will support the finance department in managing accounting activities with a strong focus on analytical fields, supplier invoices, bank transactions, and assisting with monthly account closings. The role will also involve close team collaboration to ensure accurate reporting, effective financial controls, and overall operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Accounting:
  • Process and book supplier invoices, ensuring high-quality, analytical data for operational charges.
  • Record daily bank transactions across multiple banks and currencies.
  • Assist with reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts.
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate VAT booking in collaboration with external experts.
  • Assist the Senior Accountant with monthly closings and provide ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Enforce the company's accounting valuation rules.
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Treasury:
  • Ensure timely approval of supplier invoices and payments in line with company policies.
  • Oversee accurate petty cash accounting and follow-up.
Reporting & Analysis:
  • Support the Finance Controller in reviewing accounting records to ensure accurate allocation costs.
  • Support the reconciliation of freighter sales to direct operating costs (DOC).
  • Prepare reports and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Assist in the purchase order approval process.
