About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead our large Data Centre electrical and mechanical construction project in Belgium. As Safety Manager, you will oversee and manage health and safety protocols for large-scale construction work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections as directed in our Safety Management system/PSCS.
- Attend Safety Leadership Tours.
- Coach and mentor staff in creating a positive safety culture.
- Review RAMS/Subcontractor documentation.
- Communicate audit findings to site management and project director, assisting in issue closure according to company policy.
- Assess EHS function to identify areas for improvement and develop new initiatives.
- Investigate and analyze incidents, identifying root causes.
- Provide training and information to the workforce using appropriate media, promoting accident prevention and greater EHS awareness.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant environmental health & safety legislation.
- Maintain management systems in accordance with ISO 45001/14001 and Safe T Cert.
- Represent us impeccably with clients, subcontractors, and third parties.
Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant Level 7 EHS qualification is essential.
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Commercial Construction Sector experience is essential.
- PSCS experience.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- A valid European Passport is necessary.
