VHC Health seeks a dedicated and compassionate Gastroenterology Physician to deliver exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate will be a member of the healthcare team who collaborates with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The scope of practice of each physician is defined through the health system's credentialing and privileging committee.

This role supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level. The physician will support all medical activities at the individual level, including implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality clinical care to those individuals who have chosen VHC Health in a timely manner to meet the needs of our patients.

Requirements:

A Doctorate from an Accredited Medical School is required for this position. Additionally, one year of Medical/Surgical experience is necessary to succeed as a Gastroenterology Physician.

Certifications and Licensure:

Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required. This ensures that our physicians adhere to the highest standards of medical practice.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in a well-lighted/ventilated office/clinical setting. The employee must possess physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, including exerting force, coping with mental and emotional stress, operating office machines safely, pushing patients on stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, and performing repetitive motions as required in patient care. Talking and visual acuity are also necessary for effective communication and operational tasks.
