We are a leading privacy and security consultancy in the Benelux region. Our team of experts combines IT, legal, and business knowledge to provide comprehensive solutions for our clients.
Our goal is to help companies use their data in a compliant, secure, and organized way. We achieve this by developing and implementing tailored privacy programs, providing expert advice on data protection regulations, and conducting thorough privacy audits and risk assessments.
What You'll Do- Develop and oversee comprehensive data governance programs for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Provide expert advice on data protection laws and regulations, including the GDPR and Belgian data privacy laws.
- Conduct thorough privacy audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Draft high-quality documents and reports tailored for different stakeholders, from management to C-level executives.
- Act as the lead for data breach incidents, promoting awareness and guiding clients through the response process.
- Develop and maintain data governance roadmaps and strategies, aligning with client goals and objectives.
- Provide tailored regulatory advice and guidance on data protection laws and regulations.
- Conduct and adapt DPIAs/TIAs as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Map data flows and establish data governance procedures to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Deliver privacy training and awareness initiatives to promote a culture of data protection within clients' organizations.
- Oversee third-party vendor assessments and enforce DPA compliance, ensuring that all vendors meet relevant standards.
- Lead incident response management for data breaches, developing response plans and coordinating efforts to minimize impact.
- Create comprehensive documentation and reports, ensuring GDPR accountability and transparency.
- Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and departments, including IT, legal, and business teams.
- Mentor and support less experienced colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Manage complex projects and ensure timely delivery, meeting client expectations and milestones.
- You're passionate about digital law and excited about keeping up with emerging trends and technologies.
- A creative problem-solver who thrives on finding innovative solutions to complex data protection challenges.
- Sociable, communicative, and a team player, able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills continuously, staying up-to-date with the latest data protection developments and best practices.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Data Science, or Criminology.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in data protection, preferably in a consulting or advisory role.
- DPO Certificate, ideally CIPP/E certified.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, Belgian data privacy laws, and relevant global standards/laws.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, 27701 is highly desirable.
