The Role: Senior System Engineer Networking & Cloud

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer specialized in networking and cloud technology to strengthen our system engineering team. As a key player, you will manage and maintain our telecom platforms for major mobile operators worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Design & Configuration
    • Design, configure, and maintain networks for new and ongoing MVNE projects.
    • Implement and support firewall/VPN solutions to ensure secure connectivity.
    • Perform regular network health checks and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Cloud & AWS Expertise
    • Design and implement cloud solutions with a focus on AWS, following industry best practices.
    • Act as the team's AWS/Cloud expert, guiding cloud strategies and solutions.
  • Security Management
    • Develop, implement, and enforce robust security policies and best practices.
    • Conduct comprehensive security gap assessments (both internal and external).
    • Translate customer security requirements into clear, actionable technical configurations.
  • Platform & Software Maintenance
    • Manage and maintain telecom platforms for major mobile operators, ensuring reliability and scalability.
    • Develop expertise in Pareteum's proprietary software solutions to support platform enhancements.
    • Engage extensively with Microsoft technologies, including MS Windows Server and MS SQL Server, to support infrastructure needs.
  • Mentorship & Training
    • Train and mentor junior system engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering professional development within the team.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in network design and cloud solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in TCP/IP, routing, switching, and related protocols, as well as hands-on experience with configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices.

You should be familiar with cloud architecture and best practices, particularly within AWS environments, and have a solid understanding of security policies, guidelines, and frameworks to ensure compliance. Additionally, you should be able to convert security requirements into precise technical configurations for secure operations.
