Afarax is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Expert to join their team in the banking sector. As a key member of the EDM squad, you will play a critical role in driving data governance initiatives and promoting best practices throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- You will lead the development of a comprehensive data governance framework, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data governance projects, driving strategic decision-making.
- You will provide training and support to stakeholders, promoting a culture of data governance and data quality.
- You will work closely with the EDM squad to develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- You will conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data governance regulations and industry standards.
- You will identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance data governance capabilities.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance strategies.
- You will stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data governance, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or Business Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Dutch or French, depending on stakeholder interactions.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data governance and data management.
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts, including metadata management, data quality, and data lineage.
- Familiarity with data modelling tools and technologies, including SAP PowerDesigner.
- Ability to train stakeholders, develop modelling guidelines, and create supportive deliverables.
- Experience with data products, data mesh, and API design.
