**Job Overview**
About MedTech Europe:
We are the European trade association for the medical technology industry, including diagnostics, medical devices, and digital health. Our members research, develop, manufacture, distribute, and supply health-related technologies, services, and solutions.
**Position Summary:**
The Research & Innovation Initiatives Lead will consolidate and expand MedTech Europe's participation in EU Research and Innovation programs and initiatives, focusing on the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI). This role will provide members with guidelines and directions to enhance their representation in funding and collaborative opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Promote beneficial EU Research & Innovation programs and initiatives to MedTech Europe members
- Inform, encourage, and train members about opportunities for funding and cooperation in EU programs
- Interface with members and healthcare stakeholders to navigate questions about EU Research and Innovation programs
- Represent MedTech Europe towards relevant EU and international institutions and build an effective network
- Develop MedTech Europe's leadership, vision, strategy, and action plans in the Research & Innovation environment
- Position the medtech industry as a key contributor to Europe's Research and Innovation environment
- Lead and animate MedTech Europe's Research & Innovation Committee and other relevant working groups
- Draft position papers, presentations, and communications materials
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- Masters Degree in Science or Business/Management
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Research & Innovation, Project Management, Consulting
- Good knowledge of current and upcoming EU Research & Innovation funding programs
- Research & Innovation experience in preparing and managing EU-funded projects
- Excellent communication skills at all levels with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of MedTech and industrial R&I in the healthcare industry
- Excellent English language skills, any additional EU language is considered a plus
