The Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) Council is a non-profit organization with founding members and a Board composed of executives and business leaders from leading energy companies, technology providers, investors, and end-users. Our mission is to accelerate the deployment of long-duration energy storage for the benefit of society.
Launched at COP26, the LDES Council has established itself as a catalyst in driving global dialogues on long-duration storage by providing fact-based guidance and information drawn from members' expertise. We are now seeking a Research & Data Intern to support our work tracking LDES projects, analyzing industry trends, and contributing to key research initiatives.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:- Maintain and update the global LDES project tracker, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Organize and enter project data, identifying and filling gaps.
- Conduct research to track new projects, funding announcements, and technology deployments.
- Work with external partners to innovate on developing a new format for the tracker.
- Work with Excel, Google Sheets, and other database tools to manage energy storage project data.
- Assist in data gathering, cleaning, and analysis for internal reports and publications.
- Support research on energy storage technologies, policies, and industry trends.
- Assist in updating and formatting the LDES Technology Lookbook with clear, visually appealing content.
- Support the development of research-based materials, including reports, presentations, and white papers.
- Monitor and track new energy storage projects, policy developments, and market trends.
- Summarize key findings for internal discussions, presentations, and external reports.
- Compile industry insights from various sources to inform Council initiatives.
