At Glocomms, we are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing on-site support to the Service Desk and coordinating activities with our service desk team.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of desktop systems and proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues. They should also have experience with operating system installations and familiarity with MS Office troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support to the Service Desk and coordinate activities with our service desk team.
- Diagnose and remediate desktop system issues.
- Perform hardware IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services.
- Diagnose and remediate hardware component issues.
- Provide software application upgrade services.
- Diagnose and remediate MS Office issues.
- Install and configure operating systems.
- Install and configure computer applications.
- Enter computer assets into management applications.
- Relocate end-user hardware equipment as needed.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of desktop systems
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues
- Experience with operating system installations
- Familiarity with MS Office troubleshooting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
