We are looking for a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in the management of contracts and legal matters within the context of an EPCM structure in a project finance framework.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all contracts signed for the construction of the project, supervising contract implementation, including insurance matters, to ensure optimal efficiency, and providing necessary training to stakeholders. They will also monitor contract performance and compliance with agreed terms, negotiate and draft contracts, addenda, and other legal documents with suppliers and external stakeholders, manage contractor claims and disputes in close collaboration with the DDA team, provide general legal support for the project, ensure corporate governance compliance, handle legal stakeholder management for the project, build and maintain relationships with independent contractors and suppliers relevant to the project, liaise with the Legal Department and external advisors for specialized support when necessary, and regularly report to the Senior Legal Manager regarding progress and issues.
The ideal candidate will have strong learning ability to adapt to managing contracts and legal matters within an EPCM structure in the context of project finance, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, team player: effective collaboration skills and taking ownership, proven experience in contract management, negotiation, and dispute resolution, knowledge of insurance requirements and risk management in construction projects is an asset, familiarity with corporate governance and shareholder agreements, excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with internal teams and external advisors.
