SkyeBase Mission
SkyeBase performs drone and robotics operations, delivering insights and reports in a clear and innovative way. As a UAS Pilot, you will work closely with project planners and inspectors, assisting in reporting the captured data.
We Are Looking For
- A dynamic individual with a scale-up mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Someone interested in innovation, technology, and industrial environments.
- A UAS Remote Pilot (OPEN A2 / EU STS 01-02) certified for up to 25kg MTOM.
- An individual who resides near Antwerp, as our warehouse is located in the northern part of the city.
- VCA-VOL certified.
- Driving license (B).
- Proven technical background.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
- Proficiency in Dutch (spoken and written), English (spoken and written); knowledge of French is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrable flight experience in commercial UAS roles with multicopters (minimum 50 logged hours, both manual and automated flight).
- Thorough understanding of European UAS regulations.
- Experience in planning and executing UAS operations in diverse environments under challenging conditions.
- Motivated, problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Well-organized and structured.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Thrives in a fast-growing company and does not have a '9 to 5' mentality.
- Resilient, responsible, and respectful of equipment.
- Proficient in Office and other digital tools.
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with Flyability Elios drones is a plus.
- Experience with data processing tools (orthomosaic photos, 3D models, Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, etc.).
- Knowledge of mission generation software (DroneHarmony, Pix4D Capture, UgCS, DroneDeploy, etc.).
- Experience in industrial inspections and familiarity with industrial environments.
Your Daily Tasks
As a UAS Pilot, you will play a crucial role in the daily execution and reporting of projects:
- Operating drones in compliance with our Flight Operations Manual, operating permits, Emergency Response Plan (ERP), and other relevant policies for safe and efficient flights.
- Performing operational flights for various clients in industrial, technical, and high-risk contexts (both in Belgium and internationally).
- Acting as an observer during missions.
- Operating cameras or other payloads during assignments.
- Processing captured data and creating reports.
- Supporting the management and maintenance of SkyeBase's vehicle fleet, hardware, and UAS technical updates.
- Preparing drones for assignments.
- Assisting with tests, demos, and training activities.
- Keeping operational documents and administration up to date per SkyeBase procedures.
- Providing support with aviation regulations and authorization requests.
- Preparing and requesting drone operations according to legal procedures.
- Carrying out tasks to actively support the Safety Management System.
- Maintaining quality controls to ensure successful flight operations.
