About Our Platform
The Adhese platform enables media owners to monetize their media inventory and first-party data, and facilitates advertisers to reach their audiences efficiently in a simple way. The platform is growing steadily, and we are seeking several experienced software engineers to join our team in Ghent. As a Back-End Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the robust back-end infrastructure of our platform.
Your Key Tasks
- Design, develop, maintain the back-end architecture of our platform, delivering high performance, maintainable, scalable, and reliable code.
- Optimize database structures and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval. Work with large datasets and implement performant data storage solutions.
- Implement performance optimization techniques to ensure optimal platform speed and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Technology, Product and Support domains to exchange knowledge, share interpretation of requirements, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect against data breaches and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Stay informed about the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards. Collaborate with QA (Automation) Engineers to conduct thorough testing of back-end components.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in the full Java spec, writing performant SQL/ORM mappings and Spring is required.
- Familiar with general security, testing best practices, system monitoring, performance tuning.
- Analytical & innovative mindset, creative as well as rigorous with an eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and drive for continuous improvement & learning.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ideally in Dutch.
- Team player who derives satisfaction from working closely with others.
- Understanding of different cultural backgrounds and experience in working with remote teams.]
