Inclusion Officer

The IT Asset Officer oversees the full lifecycle of IT assets within a public sector organization, ensuring effective governance, compliance with public procurement regulations, and alignment with strategic digital initiatives. The role ensures transparency, cost-efficiency, and sustainability in managing IT Hardware, software, and licensing assets.Key responsibilitiesMaintain a centralized and accurate inventory of all IT assets (Hardware, software, licenses).Ensure asset lifecycle management in accordance with public sector procurement and disposal regulations.You are fluent in French and Dutch with good knowledge of EnglishMonitor software licensing to guarantee compliance and avoid legal or financial risk.Collaborate with procurement, Finance, and internal audit teams to ensure transparent and compliant asset acquisition and tracking.Implement policies and procedures related to asset registration, usage, and decommissioning.Coordinate asset audits and reconcile discrepancies in asset records.Provide reports to support internal and external audits, financial planning, and decision-making.Support digital transformation and sustainability goals through optimized asset use and responsible disposal.Promote awareness and adherence to IT asset management practices across departments.Required skills & qualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in IT asset management or IT operations, preferably in the public sectorKnowledge of public procurement rules and regulations (e.g., national or EU standards)Proficiency with IT asset management tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, GLPI, SCCM)Familiarity with software license compliance and vendor managementStrong analytical, organizational, and documentation skillsUnderstanding of public sector accountability, transparency, and governance requirementsDesirable qualifications:Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., Champ, Citam)Knowledge of ITIL and public Finance principlesExperience with open-source or government-recommended IT toolsWhat can econocom offer you?An attractive salary supplemented with hospitalization, group insurance, meal and eco vouchers, company car, and the possibility to work from home.Upon starting, you will be assigned a Competence Manager who will introduce you to the company and guide your individual career.A variety of 'blended' training opportunities to help you grow professionally.Fun... through our quarterly events where you are kept up to date with what's happening at Econocom and stay connected with colleagues.Econocom - in brief:Econocom Benelux is part of a French listed group, active in the market for more than 45 years, where entrepreneurship is a key pillar within the company.Econocom has a unique position in the Belgian market.
