De geconsolideerde kwartaal- en jaarverslagen van KBC Groep worden opgesteld volgens de International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), waarvan een deel gebaseerd is op fair value (met name derivaten en obligaties). je bevindingen rapporteren aan het Group Valuation Committee, dat bestaat uit de algemeen directeurs van Group Finance, Middle Office en Risk Markets.
Een objectieve beoordeling is noodzakelijk omdat de fair value van een financieel instrument niet altijd gebaseerd kan zijn op beschikbare marktprijzen. Deze rol is een gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid van de afdelingen Local en Group Finance, waarbij ook middelen van andere afdelingen (zoals Middle Office, Risk Markets, Front Office) kunnen worden ingezet. Hierdoor zal je nauw samenwerken met collega's van je eigen team op groepsniveau, met collega's uit gelijkaardige teams in buitenlandse entiteiten en met collega's in commerciële functies. Dit voegt een boeiende internationale dimensie toe aan je functie.
Je maakt een kritische analyse van de onderliggende modellen en zorgt ervoor dat er geen black-box resultaten gebruikt worden in de rapporteringen.
Je handhaaft alle beleidsrichtlijnen van KBC’s Valuation Framework for Financial Instruments.

Samen met de lokale finance-afdelingen binnen KBC Groep monitor je een correcte implementatie van richtlijnen rond fair value. Boekhouding, financiële rapportering en de financiële markten boeien je. Je communiceert helder en overtuigend in het Nederlands en Engels. Geen probleem voor jou om je inzichten toe te lichten en fair value topics te bespreken met het senior management en regulatoren.
