For our client, a European market leader in advanced infrared imaging technology, we are looking for a Systems Integration & Product Release Engineer. Do you have experience testing and troubleshooting complex products that combine hardware and software
- and are you ready to take broader responsibility beyond test execution? In this role, you will take ownership of the technical transfer of advanced infrared camera systems from R&D into production. Working across multiple products and product ranges, you will ensure that products are sufficiently tested, documented and technically mature for reliable manufacturing and customer use. You do not necessarily need to come from a traditional NPI or industrialization position. This role could also be an excellent next step for an experienced System Test, Integration or Validation Engineer who understands the complete product, works across technical disciplines and wants to take ownership of the wider product-release process. The position is permanent and directly employed by the company. Your Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the technical handover of new infrared camera systems and product changes from R&D into production.
- Manage product-release activities across multiple products and product ranges.
- Define what is required for a successful transfer and ensure that technical, testing and documentation deliverables are completed.
- Identify open technical risks, missing information and unresolved issues before production transfer.
- Coordinate the resolution of release-related issues across R&D, systems engineering, quality, industrialization and production.
- Build a thorough understanding of the complete product, including electronics, firmware, software, optics and mechanics.
- Ensure that adequate system-level testing has been completed as a prerequisite for product release.
- Define and coordinate testing activities and personally perform selected tests where required.
- Investigate technical failures and troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, software, interfaces, mechanics and test equipment.

Your Profile
- A Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, applied physics, embedded systems or a comparable technical field.
- At least four years of experience in system testing, systems integration, validation, product engineering or industrialization.
- Experience with technically complex products combining electronics, software or firmware and mechanical components
- Hands-on experience with system-level testing, debugging and root-cause analysis.
- The ability to understand the complete product rather than focusing only on one component or technical discipline.
- An interest in taking broader ownership of product readiness, release and transfer into production.
- A practical mindset and willingness to perform selected tests and implement smaller fixes or workarounds yourself.
- Very good English skills. Experience supporting the introduction, release or transfer of a product into production would be a strong advantage. However, complete NPI ownership is not required if you bring strong system-testing or integration experience and are ready to develop into broader product-release responsibility. Direct experience with infrared cameras is also not required. Experience with cameras, sensors, optical systems, FPGA, ASIC-based products or other embedded devices would be an advantage. Your Benefits
- A permanent position within one of Europe’s fastest-growing high-tech manufacturing groups.
- The opportunity to work on advanced infrared camera technology used in demanding international applications.
- The chance to develop from testing or systems integration into broader product ownership.
- Technical responsibility across the complete transition from R&D into production.
- Responsibility for multiple products rather than one isolated component.
- A broad role combining systems engineering, product release, testing and industrialization.
- A growing engineering organization with short communication lines and room for initiative.
- Hybrid working environment with 1 day remote work possibility per week
- An international working environment with experienced specialists across multiple disciplines. Interested? Then apply via Easy Apply. If
