Job Profile SummaryWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Product Manager to strengthen our Acquiring squad and help shape the future of digital payments for merchants.

About the role
Within ING’s Payments Tribe, our ambition is to offer smart, seamless, personalized and reliable payment experiences across all channels. Payments are a daily touchpoint for our clients and sit at the very heart of the bank.
The Payments Tribe is composed of three closely collaborating areas:Cards & PaymentsAcquiring, Accounting & International PaymentsCash & ATMsYou will join a small, highly collaborative Acquiring squad covering products such as Ecommerce payments, Point of Sale and SofPOS. In this context, you will have strong ownership, visibility and impact, contributing directly to product strategy, delivery and growth.
Your responsibilitiesAs a Product Manager / Customer Journey Expert, you will:Understand merchant needs, market trends and the digital payments landscape to design valuable customer journeysOwn and manage end‑to‑end payment products and journeys, from idea and refinement to launch, servicing and continuous improvementTranslate business and customer needs into clear requirements for IT, Risk, Legal, Customer Support, Sales and other stakeholdersClosely collaborate with the DevOps squad, understanding IT architecture and APIs, and helping to remove impediments creatively and constructivelyPromote your products internally and externally, in collaboration with Marketing and SalesEnsure alignment with business principles, risk management and external regulationsManage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring expectations, dependencies and delivery are aligned with customer needsActively contribute to the success of the self‑steering, multidisciplinary team, while independently managing your own workstreamsYour profileWe are looking for a colleague who takes ownership and makes things happen, thrives in a fast‑changing environment, and enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines.
You bring:Proven experience in digital product or project managementSolid experience in the Acquiring / Payments domainExperience with product promotion, marketing or sales, and building partnershipsStrong stakeholder and partner management skillsThe ability to understand IT landscapes and automated processes (APIs, sequence diagrams, system flows)Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skillsAn entrepreneurial, proactive mindset with a clear “can‑do” attitudeThe ability to see the bigger picture while handling operational detailsFluency in English and at least one national languageA Master’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experienceWhat
