Freelance Buyer (Industrial Valves)

Liège, Belgium (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Freelance | 6 Months
Start Date: Before15th November
Due to increased project workload, our client is seeking a hands-on Buyer to support procurement activities within a large industrial engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement of industrial valves and engineered equipment
- Prepare and issue RFQ packages to suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms
- Work closely with engineering teams to clarify technical requirements
- Manage supplier communications, clarification lists, and expediting activities
- Support projects valued between €2M-€10M
- Utilise SAP to manage procurement processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience as a Buyer within an industrial or engineering environment
- Strong direct procurement experience
- Experience xlxgzvr sourcing valves, mechanical equipment, or engineered products
- Proven supplier negotiation and contract management skills
- SAP experience
- Technical mindset with the ability to work closely with engineers
- Fluent in French and English
