Field-based

Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.

Reporting

Reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of ~8 Sales Professionals – and accountable for delivering regional sales performance, executing the commercial strategy and developing a high-performing team towards making healthcare better through Stryker's innovative solutions. The Regional Sales Manager drives sustainable business growth through strong customer partnerships, strategic territory management and effective execution of sales and marketing initiatives. What you will do

In your new role, you will start with a familiarization phase to learn about our portfolio and build relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Execute the commercial strategy for the assigned region, translating business objectives into actionable plans that deliver sales growth and financial commitments. Deliver regional sales targets through effective territory management, sales planning and customer engagement. Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain a healthy sales pipeline. Proactively lead the team to deliver high levels of engagement and performance, driving accountability and business results. Attract, develop, engage and retain top talent through effective coaching, performance management and succession planning. Be a strong developer of people by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback and recognizing strong performance. Act as a role model and demonstrate Stryker's values and Leadership Expectations while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and ethical standards. Build and maintain strong customer relationships aimed at retaining and growing the business. Partner closely with Marketing, Finance, Customer Service and other enabling functions to execute business priorities and support customer success. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer needs and growth opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions and regional performance. Lead the execution of regional sales and marketing initiatives to drive market share growth. Support change initiatives that simplify, scale and innovate the way we work. Collaborate effectively with peers across regions and divisions to share best practices and drive cross-divisional success. Build up a network with key customers, decision-makers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) and also internal stakeholders.

What you need

Required: Degree or equivalent. 5+ years of successful experience in sales and/or marketing with demonstrable examples of leading others – ideally within industries such as MedTech, Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare or related. Experience leading, coaching, mentoring or influencing others, with a track record of developing talent. Proficiency in English is mandatory. You are also proficient in either Dutch or French (if you speak both Dutch and French, it’d be an advantage). Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets and business objectives. Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
