For one of our customers, we are looking for a Senior Tester to support the testing activities of a business-critical application undergoing a major Cloud migration.

📍 Location: Brussels

📅 Start date: 02/11/2026

⏱️ Duration: 202 working days

💼 Contract: Freelance

🏠 Remote policy: Up to 50% homeworking / 50% onsite

🕘 Workload: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7h36/day

🔎 Assignment

The application is used to collect and validate data for the Balance of Payments. As the application is being migrated to the Cloud, all modules and functionalities need to be thoroughly tested.

As a Senior Tester, you will work within the business department and collaborate closely with colleagues involved in the application and IT activities.

You will take ownership of the test preparation, documentation and execution, while also supporting and training business stakeholders in carrying out test activities.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive test plan covering the different application modules and functionalities.
• Analyse, adapt and document test cases in Jira Xray.
• Execute test cases and ensure proper test coverage.
• Identify, document and follow up on defects.
• Perform regression testing to ensure system stability following changes and fixes.
• Analyse test results and report findings to the relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with business and IT stakeholders throughout the testing process.
• Train business stakeholders so they can independently execute the relevant test cases.
• Ensure testing activities are properly documented and traceable.
• Work full-time during normal working hours: Monday to Friday, 7h36 per day.
• Work onsite in Brussels, with the possibility of up to 50% homeworking.

✅ MUST-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Several years of experience as a Senior Tester.
• Strong knowledge of software testing processes and methodologies.
• Proven experience in test analysis.
• Proven experience in test case specification and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with test execution.
• Strong experience in defect management.
• Good knowledge of regression testing techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Jira Xray for test case documentation and test management.
• Experience in creating and delivering a test plan.
• Experience working with both business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide training and guidance to business users/stakeholders.
• Structured, analytical and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work under pressure, remain flexible and deliver within agreed deadlines.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
• Full-time availability from 02/11/2026 for the duration of the assignment.

🗣️ MUST-HAVE LANGUAGES

French or Dutch – Mandatory | Knowledge of the second national language – Required | English – Mandatory
