Service provision for a Solution Architect for the MANOS program. The current resource is supporting numerous activities, creating a bottleneck for the projects and schedule.
Description of Deliverables:
Design and develop scalable and secure solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives Develop the future roadmap of these solutions, accounting for change and evolution, in line with product roadmaps Work with product owners, enterprise and other architects, business stakeholders and software engineers to understand and solve difficult technical problems Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, system specifications, interfaces, data models and flows. Document requirements, decisions, and communicate them effectively. Collaborate with other technical leads, other domain architects and enterprise architecture to ensure software and system designs are implemented efficiently, effectively and with consistency. Work to establish standards, policies, and practices; following architectural governance project governance to deliver robust and reusable services and solutions.
Core Competency Skill Sets Required for Vendor Delivery:
Global Skills Experience working as a hands-on solution architect in a large organisation, regularly taking responsibility for difficult technical decisions and seeing them through to completion Ability to deliver, document and articulate complex architectures for the program at all levels: data, integration, application and security Experience in delivering solutions within large-scale programme deliveries Deep knowledge of software solution architecture concepts, practices and tools. Practical knowledge of cloud design patterns and services Experience in breaking down a monolith into Microservice oriented architectures Knowledge of current state-of-the-art for software service development and delivery Able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong awareness of cyber-security and information governance; good understanding of privacy by design and security by design principles Experience within the automotive industry or supply chain is considered a plus for the role Technical skils Expert level architecture documentation and diagramming techniques (e.g. Archimate, UML, wireframing, etc.) Experience with cloud architecture and services based on AWS (Azure is a plus) Experience in Bizzdesign is considered as a plus. Formal data modelling and design techniques, for relational and NoSQL database technologies Experience working in a container-based and/or serverless environment, hosted on public/private cloud (AWS EKS, Kubernetes and Openshift preferred) Experience working with Data & integration platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Workato, Qlik, etc.) Experience with both request driven as event driven architectures Good understanding of CI/CD concepts, including version control, branching models, appropriate quality control techniques, secrets management, and automated deployments
