Senior Software Engineer

pDocShifter, a subsidiary of the Ennov Group, is a Belgium-based enterprise document transformation platform serving regulated industries, primarily pharmaceutical and life sciences companies. We’re a compact engineering team building software that helps some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies manage complex document workflows. /ph3The Role /h3pWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our compact, high-impact engineering team. You will own significant parts of the platform, from designing microservice architectures and building AI-powered document processing features to troubleshooting production issues at enterprise clients. /ppThis is a role where breadth matters as much as depth: in a single sprint you might implement a PDF cross-document hyperlinker, debug a PostgreSQL failover state machine, review a Kubernetes deployment manifest, and mentor a junior engineer on Spring Boot best practices. /ph3What You Will Do /h3ulliDesign and develop full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, PostgreSQL, and messaging technologies. /liliArchitect and implement microservices, AI-powered document processing solutions, and document transformation modules. /liliDevelop and maintain enterprise integrations with Veeva Vault, SharePoint, Documentum, and Ennov. /liliDrive cloud-native initiatives, including Kubernetes deployments, containerization, Azure Marketplace packaging, and Terraform infrastructure. /liliLead technical architecture decisions while improving CI/CD pipelines, code quality, application security, and production reliability. /liliMentor developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to engineering standards and best practices. /li /ulh3Must-Have Qualifications /h3ulli5+ years of experience in Java development (Java 17+), with strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA. /liliSolid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and third-party system integrations. /liliProven experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, migrations, performance optimization, and high availability. /liliHands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, including code quality and testing tools. /liliStrong debugging and troubleshooting skills in complex and distributed environments. /liliProficiency in Git workflows and good written and verbal communication skills in English. /li /ulh3Nice-to-Have /h3ulliExperience with document processing, including PDF specifications, OCR, content extraction, and format conversion. /liliFamiliarity with AI/LLM integration in Java applications (LangChain4j, OpenAI API, prompt engineering). /liliFrontend experience with Angular (14+) and TypeScript. /liliEnterprise Content Management integrations (Ennov Platform, Veeva Vault, SharePoint, Documentum). /liliExperience in regulated industries, including pharmaceutical, life sciences, or financial services. /liliSAML 2.0 or LDAP authentication implementation experience. /liliTerraform or infrastructure-as-code tooling. /liliExperience with Aspose libraries (PDF, Words). /li /ulh3What
