Senior AI Engineer

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a growing team focused on delivering cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence solutions across a range of business-critical projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced AI initiatives, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, and AI-driven automation , helping to shape the organisation's AI strategy and capabilities.

As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of end-to-end AI solutions, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and provide technical leadership on complex AI projects.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and optimise AI and Machine Learning solutions for production environments.
Build and implement Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
Develop scalable AI architectures and integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Lead the full AI lifecycle, from data preparation and model development through to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend best practices for adoption.
Mentor and support junior AI engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders.

Required

Experience
Minimum 5 years' commercial experience as an AI Engineer , developing and deploying AI solutions within production environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) .
Proven experience building AI-powered applications and services that deliver measurable business value.
Experience working across the full AI development lifecycle.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern AI frameworks and libraries.
Experience deploying AI solutions within cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
Solid understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance best practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and influence AI strategy.
Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to the development of high-performing technical teams.

Desired Experience
Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
Knowledge of vector databases and AI orchestration frameworks.
Experience fine-tuning and deploying Large Language Models.
Exposure to AI agents, multi-agent systems, and advanced Generative AI use cases.
Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.
