Production / Manufacturing Engineer | Infrared Cameras production in one ofEurope's fastest growing high growth tech company

For our client, one of Europe's fastest growing high tech manufacturing company focusing on the production of infrared cameras active in the areas of research, defense, and aerospace, we are looking for a Camera Production / Manufacturing Engineer.

Location: Tienen, Belgium

This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced infrared camera systems in a specialized manufacturing environment. Unlike many large manufacturing organizations, this is a highly visible engineering role within a specialized business of approximately 70 employees. Advanced infrared camera systems are assembled manually and tested in close collaboration between Production, Engineering and R&D, giving engineers direct influence on products, processes and manufacturing performance.

This role combines production support, troubleshooting, process improvement and new product introduction. You will help solve daily manufacturing challenges, improve production efficiency and support the scale-up of camera manufacturing as the business continues to grow.

Your Tasks

• Act as the technical point of contact for manufacturing and assembly-related issues in camera production
• Troubleshoot production challenges, perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions
• Drive improvements in yield, throughput, quality and manufacturing efficiency
• Support the transfer of new camera products from R&D into production and help ensure manufacturable product designs
• Contribute to the scaling of production lines, testing stations and manufacturing processes as volumes grow
• Work closely with Operations, R&D, Quality and Production teams to continuously improve manufacturing performance
• Use data analysis and Python-based tools to support process optimization and automation initiatives

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics or a related technical field
• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrialization, NPI or a similar role
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with operators, technicians, engineers and cross-functional stakeholders
• Python knowledge or willingness to further develop these skills
• Experience with camera systems, imaging products, optics, photonics, sensors or other high-tech products is an advantage
• Fluent English skills
• Either skills in Dutch or willingness to learn Dutch in order to communicate effectively with operators and production teams
• Hands-on, proactive and solution-oriented mindset
