Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with technical installations or industrial environments
  • Technical degree or relevant experience in electricity, electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or HVAC
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
  • Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Ability to read and understand technical plans, diagrams, and documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow strict procedures
  • Willingness to work in a shift-based environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Safety-conscious and procedure-oriented approach
  • Calm and reliable during incidents
  • Able to work accurately under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a critical 24/7 environment
  • Good team player with a customer- and service-oriented attitude
  • (Desirable) Knowledge or experience with low-voltage electrical installations, electrical distribution boards, UPS systems, emergency generators, cooling and HVAC systems, Building Management Systems, environmental monitoring systems, or access control systems
  • (Desirable) BA5 certification
  • (Desirable) VCA or equivalent safety certification
  • (Desirable) Working at height certification

Job description:

  • Monitor the datacenter's critical technical infrastructure
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Carry out technical inspections and operational checks
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and equipment failures
  • Support electrical installations and power distribution systems
  • Monitor and support cooling, ventilation, and HVAC systems
  • Support UPS systems, generators, and backup power infrastructure
  • Analyse technical faults and identify their root causes
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting on electrical and electromechanical installations
  • Coordinate interventions with external suppliers and maintenance partners
  • Support planned maintenance and infrastructure upgrade activities
  • Record interventions, incidents, and technical observations
  • Follow operational, safety, and escalation procedures
  • Ensure that technical areas remain clean, safe, and correctly organised
  • Participate in shift handovers and communicate relevant operational information
  • Perform rack-and-stack activities and install or replace technical equipment as required
  • Support cabling and patching activities
  • Perform visual inspections of servers and network equipment
  • Provide smart hands or remote hands support
  • Escort external technicians and suppliers within secure technical areas
