Mission ContextOur client, a leading banking institution, is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join its Investments & Financial Insurances Tribe.
The tribe is responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of investment products and services offered to Retail Banking and Private Banking customers. The mission focuses on delivering innovative investment solutions while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will work within the Custody Squad, supporting initiatives related to Securities Handling, Event Management and Position Management, and will play a key role in the analysis, delivery and implementation of strategic investment services.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Business Analyst, you will:Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders and IT teams to define future investment services and platform enhancements.
Gather, challenge and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
Perform detailed impact analyses across business processes, applications, operational activities and regulatory frameworks.
Drive compliance initiatives related to Shareholder Rights Directive II (SRD II) and other regulatory requirements.
Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional analyses and solution designs.
Ensure that development teams receive complete and accurate requirements and specifications.
Refine and assess proposed solutions with Product Owners and Solution Architects.
Contribute to effort estimations, cost assessments and business case evaluations.
Facilitate workshops and requirement sessions with stakeholders from: Retail BankingPrivate BankingInvestmentsLegalComplianceOperationsIT Delivery TeamsParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
Lead change management activities, including testing coordination, releases, go-live support and post-implementation follow-up.
Ensure alignment between business objectives, regulatory requirements and technical delivery.
Required ExperienceMandatoryMinimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
Proven experience in Securities Handling, Custody Services, Asset Servicing or Investment Operations.
Strong understanding of Investment Products and Investment Services.
Experience working within Retail Banking and/or Private Banking environments.
Strong experience translating business needs into implementable features and requirements.
Experience performing impact analyses involving business, operational, legal and regulatory aspects.
Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
PreferredPrevious experience within investment platforms or wealth management environments.
Knowledge of Custody, Corporate Actions, Securities Events and Position Management.
Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives.
Experience participating in large-scale transformation programs.
