Network Engineer – Cisco, IT/OT

pWe are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a team responsible for the deployment, security, maintenance and operation of a complex enterprise IT and OT network infrastructure. Working in a predominantly Cisco-based environment, you will manage technologies across routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, data centre connectivity and cloud networking. /p pYou will contribute to infrastructure projects involving new data centre connections, cloud integration, WAN modernisation, network automation and requirements from application teams. The role involves collaboration with ICT colleagues across Belgium and other European locations, as well as occasional travel to Belgian sites. You will work in a 24/7 operational environment, participate in a standby rotation of up to one week in four, and initially work on-site before transitioning to a hybrid arrangement. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDeploy, maintain and operate enterprise network infrastructure. /li liManage routing and switching across complex network environments. /li liSupport LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall and cloud networking technologies. /li liConfigure and maintain network technologies across IT and OT environments. /li liPrepare and execute network changes in line with operational requirements. /li liContribute to data centre connectivity and cloud integration projects. /li liSupport WAN modernisation and network requirements from application teams. /li liCollaborate with ICT colleagues across Belgium and other European locations. /li liContribute to network automation using Python and/or Ansible. /li liSupport network monitoring, central logging and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions. /li liWork with network authentication technologies, including TACACS and RADIUS. /li liParticipate in the on-call/standby rotation, with a maximum of one week in four. /li liTravel occasionally to other Belgian sites when required. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 h3Mandatory Skills /h3 ul liStrong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching. /li liExperience with OSPF, IS-IS, MP-BGP and MST. /li liUnderstanding of firewall technologies. /li liExperience with cloud technologies and networking. /li liExperience with Cisco Wireless. /li liExperience with Python and/or Ansible for network automation. /li liKnowledge of network monitoring, NAC and central logging solutions. /li liKnowledge of TACACS and RADIUS. /li liGood command of Dutch or French. /li liAbility to work independently and collaboratively. /li /ul h3Nice-to-Have Skills /h3 ul liCisco ACI and/or Cisco SD-WAN. /li liExperience with Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst and Nexus. /li liFamiliarity with Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls. /li liExposure to Zabbix, Elastic, Cisco ISE and Microsoft Azure. /li /ul h3Experience Education /h3 ul liAn educational background in Computer Science or a related technical field. /li liMinimum 10 years of professional experience in enterprise network engineering, supported by the technical expertise outlined above. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liDutch or French: Good command required; at least one is mandatory. /li /ul h3Location Work Model /h3 ul libInitial working model: /b On-site during the first three months. /li libOperations: /b 24/7 environment, with standby rotation of up to one week in four. /li libTravel: /b Occasional travel to Belgian sites. /li /ul h3About NISH Tech BV /h3 pNISH Tech BV is a Belgium-based IT consulting and technology services company connecting organizations with skilled professionals.
