As an Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee the quality of the accounting and reporting for the corporate entities. At the same time, you will play a key role in the further optimisation of financial processes.
In practical terms, this involves, amongst other things:
- You will mentor and act as the point of contact for two corporate accountants who handle the accounts from start to finish.
- You will review the accounts and critically monitor financial transactions and reporting.
- You analyse P&L variances and investigate the underlying causes.
- You provide support during the monthly and year-end closings and monitor the quality and timing of reporting.
- You are responsible for accounting reports and financial analyses.
- You will critically assess existing financial processes and identify areas where efficiency can be improved.
- You will contribute to the digitisation and automation of processes using the ERP system and AI tools.
- You will provide support with, amongst other things, intercompany invoicing, cross-charging and management fees.
- You will prepare audit reports and act as a point of contact for auditors.
- You will provide financial data and reports requested by external bodies.
- You will be given the opportunity to further develop your expertise over time in areas such as management accounting or taxation.
Voor deze functie zoeken we geen klassieke boekhouder die uitsluitend uitvoerende taken wil opnemen. We zoeken iemand die begrijpt wat er achter de cijfers zit en daar ook kritisch naar durft te kijken.
Je herkent jezelf in volgende punten:
- Je beschikt over een bachelor Accountancy-Fiscaliteit of een gelijkaardige financiële opleiding.
- Je hebt ongeveer 3 à 4 jaar relevante ervaring binnen een boekhoudkundige of financiële omgeving.
- Je hebt voldoende boekhoudkundige affiniteit om financiële processen, boekhoudpakketten en rapporteringen snel te doorgronden.
- Je bent analytisch sterk en stelt spontaan de vraag: “Waarom gebeurt dit op deze manier en kan het beter?”
- Je werkt nauwkeurig, gestructureerd en hebt oog voor detail.
- Je hebt een zeer goede kennis van Excel. Ervaring met Microsoft Business Central of andere ERP-pakketten vormt een sterke troef.
- Ervaring met verschillende ERP-systemen is mooi meegenomen.
- Je hebt interesse in AI, digitalisering en het slimmer organiseren van financiële processen.
- Je neemt initiatief en brengt zelf ideeën aan. Je hoeft niet alles al te kennen, maar je moet wel vanaf de start iets kunnen bijdragen.
- Je communiceert vlot en weet op een constructieve manier in dialoog te gaan met collega's.
- Je voelt je comfortabel in een complexe financiële omgeving en houdt ervan om zaken grondig uit te pluizen.
- Een achtergrond waarbij je zelf de boekhouding intern hebt opgevolgd is een pluspunt. Een volledig externe boekhoudomgeving sluit je niet per definitie uit, zolang je zelf voldoende inzicht hebt opgebouwd in de boekhouding en processen kritisch weet te beoordelen.
