Senior Digital IC System Architect

pWe are looking for an experienced Digital IC Systems Architect to develop advanced mixed-signal SoC solutions for customer applications. You will translate high-level customer requirements into robust SoC architectures. You will evaluate different IPs and technologies, define digital micro-architectures and help ensure solutions meet the required performance, power and chip-area targets. This is a highly technical, customer-facing position suited to someone with strong experience across digital IC design, SoC architecture and mixed-signal semiconductor development. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliTranslate high-level customer requirements into digital IC and SoC architectures /liliDefine appropriate micro-architectures and hardware specifications /liliEvaluate and select IPs including CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, memories, accelerators and custom IP /liliDetermine how different IP blocks can be combined to meet system-level requirements /liliModel, analyse and optimise system performance /liliIdentify and resolve architectural performance bottlenecks /liliDevelop solutions within defined power consumption and chip-area constraints /liliRecommend appropriate IC technologies and architectural approaches /liliCollaborate with analogue IC architects and software engineers to create complete mixed-signal SoC solutions /liliEngage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and present proposed solutions /liliSupport sales teams with technical expertise during customer discussions /liliWork with delivery and engineering teams to introduce new digital micro-architectures /liliSupport implementation across SystemVerilog, RTL verification, design verification, physical design and DFT/validation /liliIdentify technical risks and communicate potential issues that could impact customer requirements, quality or delivery /li /ulh3Skills Experience /h3ulli8+ years of experience in digital IC design and/or SoC system architecture /liliStrong experience architecting advanced digital or mixed-signal SoCs /liliHands-on Verilog and SystemVerilog experience /liliStrong understanding of CPU and DSP architectures /liliExperience evaluating and integrating semiconductor IP /liliGood understanding of mixed-signal system architecture /liliExperience with relevant EDA tools for IC development /liliBroad understanding of the semiconductor developmentlifecycle, including:ulliIC architecture and design /liliPhysical design /liliSemiconductor manufacturing /liliPackaging and assembly /liliTesting and validation /li /ul /liliFamiliarity with automotive functional safety / ASIL /liliStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify technical issues proactively /liliExcellent technical communication and customer-facing skills /liliAbility to work effectively across architecture, engineering, software, sales and customer teams /liliFluent written and spoken EnglishEducation /li /ulh3Education /h3ulliDegree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Microelectronics, IC Design or a closely related discipline /lili7+ years of relevant industry experience in digital IC design and system/SoC architecture /li /ul
